With a degree in textile engineering and more than 30 years of experience in science and research in the textile sector. She has been working as an assistant professor and researcher at the Faculty of Textile Engineering of the Textile University of Liberec (FT TUL) since 1998, focusing on textile materials and technologies. She specializes in high functional materials, the development of innovative textile structures and their use in design. She also teaches and supervises bachelor’s and diploma theses in this area. She actively participated in the development of innovative teaching materials. She currently deals with aspects of sustainable production and consumption of textile and clothing. She has 20 years of experience in university and faculty management, where she held the following position: vice-rector for science and research at the Technical University of Liberec (TUL), dean of the Faculty of Textile Engineering at TUL. She currently works in the position of vice dean for R&D at this faculty. She has extensive experience in processing and solving national and European projects in the field of R&D and education.
